Corporate presence on the Internet has grown dramatically with the popularity of the Internet. Much of the information available from these sites is simply corporate public information, annual reports, and financial material. In some cases databases have been made available.

ABB

BC Hydro

A UK-based company, BizEE Software writes software to improve the energy-efficiency of businesses and other organizations. British Columbia Research Inc. (BCRI) (now Vizon SciTech)
BC Research, a science and technology company, focuses in the chemical and biological sciences and their impacts on health, safety, and the environment.  It works with clients to create sustainable high-tech companies. 

BC Research also maintains a database (http://catf.bcresearch.com/catf/catf.nsf) providing technical papers for use by the technical and business community in the area of transportation fuels. 

Canadian Energy Research Institute (CERI)

CERI is an independent, non-profit research institute committed to excellence in the analysis of energy economics and related environmental policy issues in the producing, transportation, and consuming sectors.

The Institute's principal mandate is to conduct studies to assist industry and government parties in finding solutions to energy problems and formulating practical energy policies.

The Energy Net
The Abalone Alliance has been working since 1977 to promote renewable energy and stop Pacific Gas and Electric's campaign to build over 60 nuclear reactors in their service area. 

The Web site also serves as a portal to other Web sites containing information regarding energy, nuclear, and ecological issues.

Energy On-Line
A service of LCG Consulting (see listing below), Energy On-Line offers business and regulatory information on the energy industry, with an emphasis on electric industry restructuring. The Web site maintains an archive of news, reports, events, models, and organizations pertinent to the restructuring of the electric power industry.

Equitable Resources, Inc. (ERI)
Equitable Resources is an integrated energy company with emphasis on Appalachian area natural-gas supply, natural-gas transmission and distribution, and leading-edge energy-management services.
