Overview of Current Activities:
Contributes to the sound development
of the national economy by effective implementation of
rational energy use.
Areas of technical expertise include conducting audits
and providing guidance for those in the industry,
building and transportation sectors; also conducts
safety and efficiency inspections of boilers and
pressure vessels.
Activities cover all sectors of energy efficiency,
including performing technical audits and providing
technical and financial support; works with cogeneration
and district heating.
Runs educational programs on improving fuel efficiency
through better driving skills.
Supplies assistance for better thermal insulation of
housing.
Promotes central heating plans and DSM programs.
Manages R&D projects in energy efficiency and new and
renewable energy sources.
Provides an information service; publishes periodicals
and books.
