Overview of Current Activities:
Implements government policies of
energy conservation and environmental protection;
manages programs aimed at environmental protection and
improving energy efficiency on behalf of government
Ministries and international organizations such as the
IEA and the European Community.
Program objectives include: improving efficiency in
power and heat generation; encouraging introduction of
energy efficiency and environmentally-friendly
technologies and measures; and developing and promoting
renewable energy.
Involved in technology development and
process-innovation serving industry, agriculture, energy
supply companies, and the transport, building and
housing sectors; acts as an intermediary between the
public and private sector.
Expertise in project and RD&D management, technology
transfer, market introduction strategies, policy,
program and project monitoring, and energy and
environmental auditing.
Examines: wind power generation applications; RD&D on
coal gasification; fuel cells; photovoltaics and
biomass; district heating; and clean coal technology.
Works with hybrid drive systems; horticulture and animal
farming; creating innovations for industry; overseeing
energy management systems; building energy conservation
systems; and promoting environmental protection in
housing.
